near 和 next to 不相等

near = 接近,靠近

next to = 旁边,比邻,续下去的

例句：

The post office is near my house.It's just a few yards away.

near和next to都有“在......附近”的意思。但是，从空间位置上讲，near只表示“在......的附近”，而next to表示“紧挨着”。它比near离物体要更近一些。
